It took an awful lot to steal away Felix's focus when he was in the midst of good scrubbing, and given the ungodly mess someone had made on one of the rec room tables, the odds of something more important coming up were slimmer still indeed.

If there was anyone in his life that had proven herself to be quite adept at breaking the odds, however, it was Kate.

"Wha- I- Who told you?!" Felix spluttered, standing up indignantly. Finding out that all the thunder had been taken out of one of his finest moments was just too much to let slide. "I was waiting for the right time to tell the story myself! Ugh, and I bet they did it all wrong, too. Was it Tony? It was Tony, wasn't it? It just figures."
